What do you need to do before waxing your black car:

Make sure you are waxing on a clean surface! There should be no dust particles in the air when you wax! Wash and dry your car first!  Do not wax in hot or cold weather. The body of your car should be warm, not hot or cold! If you have a garage, leave your car out of the sun or cold weather for a couple of hours. Always wax your car in a garage or under cover.

Use a cleaning mitt or large sponge and a small amount of concentrated car wash soap. Rinse with distilled water and dry with flannel cloths. Walmart sells distilled water for about 70¢ per gallon. Apply Color Back to remove oxidation. Hands polish the Color Back with flannel cloths or cleaning cloth. Apply black car wax. Always check the bottle of your wax before buying; it should contain Carnauba and mix of other waxes. Buff with a dual action polisher to prevent swirl marks.

• Do not apply too much product! Just a little wax and you can work it around and up to seams and emblems, without filling them.
• Do not wait too long to wipe the wax off, the wax set up fairly fast.  Most wax products come off easier and with less streaking and work if you don’t let them stand for more than a few minutes. Some products DO work better if you let them dry, so please read the instructions.
• Use pure 100% cotton polishing cloth or diaper/terry cloth rag and always keep them clean.
